Obnoxious mechanical noise from bottom freezer

We purchased the LG LF21C6200 French Door Refrigerator from Lowes in Kyle Texas on 12/09/24. After about 6 months it started to make a very loud pop when we pulled out the bottom freezer drawer. Finally it became too much to bear and we were also worried about the condition worsening. So I called LG service and was told to do a manual defrost and the agent/rep would call me back at exactly 4 pm the next day. Well 4 pm the next day led to 5 pm the next day then to 6 pm - still no call So I called LG service again and the second agent/rep essentially laughed at me and blew me off Ive always thought of LG as being a reliable product with acceptable if not excellent customer service. I stand corrected. I would jump at the chance to have LG prove me wrong. Lowes wont help at all since we couldnt afford their extended service warranty as were retired working people. Help us LG I guess only the wealthy get the good service these days...

What a nightmare We ordered this fridge and once installed the technicians noticed a loud fan sound. They tried to fix it but suggested that I call in for a replacement. LG customer service is a joke I had to call multiple time for them to tell me to wait 24-48 hrs for the noise to stop and then the I received an error message and the fridge stopped getting cold. This is all within hours of installation. For them to send a replacement would be 7-10 days and it would need to be requested by the repair technician who also couldnt help until he ordered and received replacement parts. So I was looking at 2+ weeks with no fridge and spoiled food. Youre better off going to another company like PC Richards. Spare yourself the massive headache and go elsewhere to purchase

Worst experience with any online order. My review pertains solely to LG and RXO delivery services not the product itself. In fact I ordered the same exact product from Lowes and paid more because LG and RXO were so inefficient. Here is the timeline: I placed the order on Thursday evening 7/31 with an estimated delivery date of 8/4. This was the most affordable option I found compared to other companies so I was fine with it. On Monday 8/4 I found it unusual that I hadnt received any delivery notifications. I contacted LG who informed me that the item had not yet arrived at the warehouse and therefore would not be delivered. They suggested it might arrive the next day and advised me to call again if I didnt receive an update this was my first concern. On Tuesday 8/5 afternoon I received an email regarding scheduling with RXO the earliest delivery date offered was Thursday 8/7. Frustrated I contacted LG who stated they could not assist and advised me to coordinate with RXO. RXO responded that they couldnt reschedule the delivery but might be able to deliver sooner if arrangements could be made this was my second concern. On Thursday 8/7 RXO called to say the driver couldnt deliver because he couldnt find parking. I was extremely frustrated I observed the driver on the phone explaining that his truck wouldnt fit down my street which is a one-way street in Baltimore. As someone familiar with city logistics I knew this was a common issue. The driver did not want to risk parking tickets. I was beyond upset. He drove off and I called LG and RXO who apologized but explained they couldnt reschedule with a smaller truck until the original truck was returned to the warehouse. No one provided a clear timeline. I called multiple times daily each time being promised a callback but I received no callbacks. It wasnt until Monday 8/11 twelve days after placing the order and seven days past the original delivery date that the fridge was returned to a warehouse in Bethesda about an hour away. I contacted RXO again they said delivery could be rescheduled for Wednesday 8/13. LG told me they couldnt do anything but offered $50 and an extended warranty the third red flag. At that point I ordered the same refrigerator from Lowes which was able to schedule confirm via email and text and deliver within 24-hours of my order. Two delivery personnel brought the fridge in a truck comparable in size to the original order handled everything professionally and left no damage. Because of this experience I will be ordering all future appliances from Lowes. Their service was vastly superior and I will strongly recommend them to others. Afterward I called LG and expressed my dissatisfaction firmly. They are issuing a refund but indicated that was the extent of their assistance. The moral of my story: if you are considering purchasing an appliance do NOT buy from LG. Opt for Lowes Home Depot or even a local seller. You will save considerable time hassle and frustration.

The review is not about the product since I have never got a chance to try it. I do want to share my experience with the LG refrigerator order from the LG website. I would say this is the worst service that I have ever experienced My old refrigerator is broken so I placed an order online for a new refrigerator from LG website on 7/1 for a 7/3 delivery. I found out I had a typo for my phone number right afterwards. I called LG customer service and ask for their help to update it. They said they can not make any change to the order and ask me to cancel the order and resubmit. I did that except the delivery date is now 7/5. I called customer service again and explained what happened and ask if they can move the delivery date sooner. They said the only date they can change it to is 7/7 which is helpless for my case. The good news is I did get confirmation for 7/5 delivery. I was informed that the delivery window is between 7:30am-11:30am on 7/4. On the delivery date of 7/5 at 6am in the morning I received a phone call from the delivery team saying they will be there in 30 minutes. I told them it is too early and ask them to wait until 7:30. But they delivered at 6:30am anyway. Then they told me that I did not include haul away service in my order. Apparently I need to select trade-in option to include haul away. I did not know that as when I click the details of Installation it mentioned haul away is included with the delivery and it did not mention I have to do so by checking trade-in option So I ask the delivery team if they can haul away my old refrigerator with a fee. They said they would charge $100 and it must be in cash. So I went to ATM to get cash. When I come back the delivery team is gone. I called them they do not answer the call. So I called the delivery customer service and told them what happened and they told me I have to contact LG to add haul away to the order. I asked for escalation and they did escalate me to another manager. I told her I just need the refrigerator and I can pay for haul away but she said she can not do anything and insists that this must go through LG. So I called LG customer service they said there is no way they can add haul away to my order and I must cancel the order and resubmit it again. So I log on to the website and found out my order can not be cancelled as it shows it is complete. I called customer service again they Kindly cancelled the order for me. But the cancellation shows pending and they ask me to keep checking my email and call back to customer service if it is not cancelled. Well I was woken up at 6am and being held on the phone for about 2 hours by talking separately to the delivery and LG customer support trying to get my refrigerator installed and old one hauled away. At the end I got nothing accomplished but a pending cancellation. To make it worse LG never refunded the charges to my credit for the cancelled order on 7/1. So my credit card is now double charged and I have no refrigerator for the hot summer days and now I have start over again and trying to find another. I hope that I am the exception case here but I do appreciate someone from LG customer service to follow up on this and make sure your system is sufficient and customer service can really help customers Thank you for reading.

The shelves in this fridge are nice to look at but you cant actually use them for storing dense food... like milk or soda. Placing a 6 pack and a half gallon jar of sauerkraut on a shelf causes it to bend nearly 1/4 inch. According to LG chat support: fridge shelves are tempered glass it has still limitation it will structurally fail or bent if weight is not evenly distributed

From the day we received our fridge it made a variety of incredibly loud noises from grinding to screeching whirring to rumbling...and all incredibly loud able to hear it from the 2nd floor of the house. We recorded the sounds and submitted them to customer service where we were told the sounds were completely normal. Less than a month later a month after our purchase the fan completely died and the fridge went warm within 3 hours. A rep cant come out for 5 DAYS. We are without a fridge and freezer for 5 whole days only a month after purchasing it. We definitely do NOT recommend.

It looks good and works fine but it feels cheaply made. The door handles are not metal but some kind of plastic. The produce drawers feels small. I can barely put a head of lettuce and a cauliflower in the same drawer. I guess in todays world that is what 1500 gets you.

I love my new refrigerator but would not buy directly from LG.com again. They dont price match and the refrigerator went on sale three days after I purchased. Had I purchased it from Home Depot they would have honored the sale price. Delivery took longer than indicated at the time of pirchase and although it indicated it would be delivered the Saturday after it was purchased the only options for delivery were Tuesdays and Fridays. Delivery service was so-so at best. They did not have the tools necessary to remove the doors on the old refrigerator. In addition I was not asked or given tbe opportunity to inspect it--they just packed up and left without a word. They left plastic and tape on the new one along with Styrofoam between the shelves and there were dents in the delivered appliance.

We love this fridge. It is virtually silent This is important to us since our kitchen area is also our office to some extent. Icemaker works great temperature control is good drawers are solid and we are surprised by how much we like the French door design because of the wide left to right shelves. The narrower 33 width saved the day for us due to our kitchens difficult layout. And the stainless steel appearance is bright and cheerful versus the dark gray stainless shade used by GE and other brands increasingly.

Dissatisfaction

Poor rating provided due to product performance and subsequent repair service. Performance: Extensive condensation with recommended settings found the bread and vegetables along with other containers wet. Service: The technician did not find any obvious problem. He explained that it was due to Physics I have had other refrigerators with never such issues. Appointment with LG set up and cancelled with no prior notification. I have a full time job and had to take time off that day. It has been a very frustrating process and I am extremely dissatisfied with the overall experience.

Great fridge with one issue.

Overall I am very happy with this fridge. It looks good works well and makes a lot of ice that is a really good size and texture. My only criticism is that there is really nowhere to opt a large pitcher without giving up some other space. The deep door shelves are a nice size in theory but the side piece around the shelf is so tall that it can be hard to put things on the shelf. The drink shelf will accommodate a bottle almost 12 tall but the opening you have to fit it through is only 8 high so pitchers that are open on top cant be fit through it. If you the second shelf down so it has more space there was s not much room to fit things through for the first shelf. See pics.to make the bottom space taller that shelf then only has a narrow space to fit food through. There is no half shelf in the fridge and all the drawers mean vertical space is limited so again to space the shelves so a pitcher fits on one require another to be very close to the one above it. I am describing this in detail because the functionality of this fridge really depends on what you want to put in it. If you have a lot of tall pitchers it is not a good choice. I do stress that tall bottles fit because you insert them at an angle. Otherwise I really love this appliance. This fridge really needs a split shelf so half can be raised and I hope the manufacturer considers it..

Exactly what we wanted. LG quality smaller footprint ice maker in the freezer and just the right amount of drawers. Ice maker is not as loud as other reviews have stated. Ice production has been fine for our needs.

We have had this refrigerator for about two months now. We are very happy with it. I was afraid I wouldnt be able to find a three door one that would fit in the small space I had but this model fit with plenty of air flow space left over. It is so quiet that at first I didnt think it was running. The only time it makes any noise is when the ice maker drops new ice into the bin. For the size that it is there is plenty of room for all our groceries. Very happy with this purchase.

When the fridge first arrived the one vegetable drawer had marring on the front. LG support was great about having a new drawer sent out. Then we discovered the ice machine is freezing all the cubes into a mass. Tech support is sending us a new ice machine that well be installing ourselves. They say its super easy to install. Crossing our fingers Weve had the fridge 2 weeks. So far its keeping everything cold and fresh.

Didnt work long enough to assess features.

Fridge stopped working 1 month after delivery. LG took over a month trying to find a service repairman and finally gave up and said they would provide a new fridge. Now another couple weeks later after receiving a text that confirmed delivery yesterday they didnt show. Instead of making delivery today they only offer a date another week out which doesnt work for me. This has been a horrible experience thats not over yet. Im out $1500 and havent had a fridge since early July. Doesnt appear that LG cares much

Love my LG refrigerator

I have had this refrigerator for about 2 months and I couldnt be more satisfied with it. It is beautiful and I dont find the stainless steel hard to keep clean at all. It keeps the food cold evenly throughout and I love having the freezer at the bottom. This is a smaller version 21sft but is plenty large enough for 2 adults. It fit perfectly into the small space I had.

Looks nice functions ok

Less than 24 hours after purchasing one of the shelves shatter while adjusting it. It was replaced by LG I feel it should not have happened in the first place. The ice also melts together for lack of a better word. The freezer is set to 0 and the thermometer gives the warmest coldest and current temp and it has never gone above freezing so I dont know why the ice clumps together.
